Swisstools Cybersecurity, partnership Nautilus OT

Cybersecurity is a growing industrial challenge. As part of the Industrie 4.0 program, Swisstools is receiving funding from the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region to audit IT systems. Risk assessment and identification of IT requirements are key steps in our IATF certification process.

Cybersecurity for safe and efficient operations

Elysium Security, based in Lyon, supported us in our project to assess and identify the internal and external needs of our systems. They also helped us to draw up a tailor-made action plan.

Cybersecurity is a real concern in the industrial sector. In today’s digital landscape, security threats often lurk in the shadows, waiting to be discovered and exploited by cybercriminals.

Concerned about the impact of security and information in our industry, Swisstools wants to ensure secure and efficient operations for its customers, suppliers and partners. The IT department identifies any vulnerabilities and is constantly on the lookout to protect the company’s data.

To complement the monitoring systems already in place by the IT department, Swisstools recently decided to install the innovative Nautilus OT solution. This partnership strengthens the company’s Operational Technologies (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructures against cyber threats.

Securing equipment and the production line

IoT security encompasses all measures designed to protect Internet-connected devices and the network on which they operate. From industrial sensors to consumer electronics, equipment does not always have built-in security functions. The volumes of data generated and processed by the IoT make devices privileged points of entry into the network infrastructure. Such protection is therefore imperative.

IoT security ensures data integrity and confidentiality on all connected devices through robust encryption and authentication, a process implemented by Swisstools’ IT department.

OT security protects industrial infrastructures. It focuses on hardware and software for monitoring and controlling production equipment and machines, and the associated processes, to guarantee system availability and safety. OT security is absolutely essential, as any interruption or breakdown would have far-reaching consequences.

Swisstools’ IT department and Nautilus OT ensure IoT and OT security to protect the connected equipment, data and systems of the Swisstools production chain.

IT security enhancement and response to new challenges

As the industrial sector faces the new challenges of Industry 4.0, Swisstools is committed with its new partner Nautilus OT to providing a secure environment for its customers, suppliers, partners and employees.

Specialising in risk detection through advanced analytics covering multiple protocols and the use of AI, Nautilus supports Swisstools in identifying vulnerabilities and anticipating emerging threats.

An ethical and responsible approach

All data transmitted to Nautilus OT is stored in Europe, ensuring compliance with European regulations and standards developed by the European Commission (Data Act, AI Act, etc.).

Since 2020, the Swisstools website has been hosted on a server in Paris, France. This French partner company, EVX Online, develops numerous projects for the environment, such as ecomail.

As a committed company, Swisstools is ready to meet tomorrow’s challenges with a secure industrial production process. Let’s move forward together for the future of industry!
